Turning Point
In 2020, former professional cyclocross racer Ellen Noble was diagnosed with a career threatening illness. She sought out the help of legendary coach, and Skratch Labs founder, Allen Lim. Scoop and Skratch Labs embarked on co-production to create a short film around her recovery program that could be also be used as marketing content for the nutrition mix company.
We pitched a comprehensive story, one that delved deep into both Ellen and Allens pasts, while bringing the audience on a journey that documented Ellen's comeback story.

Chasing the Peloton
Scoop spent a week in Boulder, CO chasing Ellen and Allen while they perfected Ellen's recovery program.
Beyond the standard expectations for crew, our team identified three unique elements to ensure everything we planned for could be captured.
- Speciality Camera Car Arm to follow Ellen's peloton through the mountains at full speed.
- Specialty drone pilot to safely fly a cinema weighted camera package as close as possible to riders.
- Studio space for the macro cut-aways that balanced the narrative and created visual diversity.
